Greetings to Let’s Talk it!!!

I have been pondering about something concerning rapture… People believe that when it occurs all the good people would be taken up at once and the sinful would be left on earth,my question is this is there anywhere in the bible it stated specifically that it would happen that way? What if it is already occurring and people are gradually and subtly being taken already?

  1. Thanks a lot for you question.

The Church teaches that there are two judgments: Particular and General Judgement.

Particular Judgment, is that experienced by each individual at the time of his or her death face God’s judgement which determines where one is to spend the time until the Second Coming of Christ. Immediately upon death each person undergoes this particular judgment, and goes to heaven, purgatory, or hell, depending upon one’s behavior on earth.
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
    (Heb 9:27)

The Last/general Judgment will occur after the resurrection of the dead and our body will come to life again. At this time, Christ will appear in full splendour, and all the angels with him, and in his presence the truth of each one’s deeds will be laid bare.

    Matthew 24:30-31…
Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky; and all the peoples of earth will weep as they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. The great trumpet will sound, and he will send out his angels to the four corners of the earth, and they will gather his chosen people from one end of the world to the other.

    Matthew 25:31-46…
“When the Son of Man comes as King and all the angels with him, he will sit on his royal throne, and the people of all the nations will be gathered before him. Then he will divide them into two groups, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the righteous people at his right and the others at his left…”

    Revelation 20:13-15…
Then the sea gave up its dead. Death and the world of the dead also gave up the dead they held. And all were judged according to what they had done. Then death and the world of the dead were thrown into the lake of fire. (This lake of fire is the second death.) Those who did not have their name written in the book of the living were thrown into the lake of fire.

    Thessalonians 4:15-17
What we are teaching you now is the Lord’s teaching: we who are alive on the day the Lord comes will not go ahead of those who have died. There will be the shout of command, the archangel’s voice, the sound of God’s trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
